Andreas Kreuzer wins VR Classics with Paul Schockemöhle’s horse

21.02.2012 01:09

Neumuenster - the rider is one of the best in the Schockemöhle stable, the horse is one of the best anyway and the owner is one of the best known personalities in the horse industry: Andreas Kreuzer is the name of the only 21-year old young rider, Chacco Blue the Mecklenburger stallion and Paul Schockemöhle the owner of the horse, whose father is the Holstein stallion Chambertin. And so the audience celebrated the winner and competitors for several reasons.

Kreuzer proved that he is an excellent sportsmen with an extraordinary horse, Ludger Beerbaum was placed second with the Holstein mare Chiara and Carsten-Otto Nagel was placed third with his Holstein gelding Cazaro. And last but not least the owner who is, together with Ullrich Kasselmann, the organiser of the VR Classics.

Four spectacular days went by, ending with the Grand Prix of the Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken, endowed with 38.000 Euros price money and approximately 35.000 spectators. The audience, sponsors and riders had a great time at the 62. horse show in Neumuenster.

As Paul Schockemöhle mentioned: “You can’t wish for more”. This counts twice as much for him, as he can be excited about being the owner of the winning horse and at the same time about winning the 12.540 Euros price money.

“The money will be divided according to ownership” Andreas Kreuzer grinned. The 21-year old rode the fastest round with 42,99 seconds and stayed penalty free in the jump-off course of the Grand Prix.

Ludger Beerbaum, second in the Grand Prix was happy with his performance as well: “I had a good weekend” and Carsten-Otto Nagel, who was placed third with Cazaro in the Mercedes-Benz Cup on Saturday and in the Grand Prix on Sunday said: “I didn’t anticipate it, but even better…”
