VR Classics - Horse show with top riders

Neumünster - The riding scene in the North of Germany is looking forward to a sportive weekend from 16.-19. February at the Holstenhallen in Neumünster. Five riders from the top-ten world ranking list have announced their entry: Rolf-Göran Bengtsson from Sweden, the team European Champions Ludger Beerbaum and Marco Kutscher, World Cup Champion Christian Ahlmann (Germany) and Pius Schwizer from Switzerland.

Neumünsters’ VR Classics offer a lot of tradition and charisma. International horse show jumping with four world ranking competitions, World Cup flair in the dressage, indoor eventing, the championships of Neumünster city and the show-competition of regional riding clubs. Exhibitors from 25 nations will turn the Holstenhalle from 16.-19. February into a riding arena. There has never been such a big variety of nations in Neumünster before. Endowed with a total prize money of 240.000 Euros and a total budget of approximately 940.000 Euros.

The Grand Prix of the Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken on Sunday, the Mercedes-Benz Cup and the DZ-Bank Price on Saturday and the Voigt Logistic Cup on Friday are the main highlights in the show jumping course. These four competitions offer the most prestige, points and price money. There will definitely be a new titleholder in the Grand Prix of the Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken, because last year’s winner Jan Vinckier from Belgium will not enter this year.

Dressage in Neumünster

The Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage celebrates its eighth stage in Neumünster and the starting field offers unequalled opportunities: riders from 14 nations conquer the dressage arena in the Holstenhallen, amongst others the team Olympic winners Isabell Werth and Nadine Capellmann from Germany, and team European champion and vice World champion Laura Bechtholsheimer (Great Britain) and the team European silver-medal winner Helen Langehanenberg from Germany.

One decision will be made already on Saturday morning, the 18. February – then the price of Madeleine Winter-Schulze, Grand Prix de Dressage and qualification for the World Cup competition takes place.

Dressage fans should secure tickets for Saturday morning to make sure they see all of the World Cup candidates, because only 25 of many will get to start.

Only the 15 best riders from this competition will compete in the Grand Prix Reem Acra FEI World Cup on Sunday, presented by the VR Bank Neumünster and the Schwäbisch Hall.

The freestyle of the Reem Acra FEI World Cup will be broadcasted from 9:50 o’clock on FEI-TV via livestream.

Furthermore the German equestrian portal ClipMyHorse.TV will broadcast from the Holstenhallen Neumünster.
